Shopify Google and YouTube app not syncing products

If the Google and YouTube app does not send all products to Merchant Center, diagnose the source and item IDs before uninstalling apps or changing product data in bulk.

What to check first

  • Product is Active in Shopify.
  • Product is available to the Google and YouTube sales channel.
  • Target country and language match the intended Merchant Center destination.
  • Product variants have valid price, availability, URL, and identifier fields.
  • The Google and YouTube app shows a recent sync time.
  • Merchant Center data source shows recent activity.
  • Item IDs match between Shopify, the app, and Merchant Center.

If only some products are missing

Compare one working product and one missing product. Look for differences in variant setup, channel availability, product category, custom product settings, identifiers, URL format, country targeting, and market availability.

If products are stale or wrong

Check whether the wrong products are coming from the current app feed, a supplemental feed, old Content API data, or a different data source in Merchant Center. Confirm the source before deleting feeds or reinstalling apps.
